1. The
influence of Dietary Omega 6: Omega 3 Ratio on Lameness in dogs
with Osteoarthritis of the Elbow Joint - A
Natural Remedy for Pets
In
most dog breeds the major contributing factor leading to Osteoarthritis
is synovitus, an inflammation of the cells of the joint. Even when
the lameness is surgically addressed the underlying problem of cell
inflammation will continue joint deterioration.
In
order to systemically address the inflammatory process, diet deficiencies
of the EFA category must be corrected. EPA fatty acids which originate
from dietary Omega-6 fatty acids, e.g. linoleic acid and omega-3
e.g. linolenic acid cannot be converted in the canine system and
must be supplemented.

The Role of Fat in the Formulation of Performance Rations: Focus
on Fat Sources - A Natural Remedy for Pets
Due to their influence on inflammatory processes
(Arthritis), dietary supplementation with Omega cluster fatty
acids – such as found in Medi-Paws™
Cannabis Sativa Extract – has generated considerable interest
in the medical and scientific communities regarding veterinary
health.
Enhanced Omega Cluster fatty Acid intake has been associated with
a reduction in the incidence and severity of coronary artery disease,
hypertension, hyperlipidemia, as well as immune mediated joint,
renal, gastrointestinal, respiratory and skin disease. In addition
to their role in disease prevention and treatment, this class of
fatty acids has also been implicated as an aid to athletic performance.

3. Healing Cancer
with Omega Oils - A Natural Remedy for Pets
A groundswell of nutrition conscious veterinarians are beginning
to recommend to their clients that they supplement their animals
diet with a daily dose of Omega oils, poured right over the food.
The vets are finding remarkable results in clearing up skin conditions,
relieving arthritic and inflammatory pain, as well as improved over
all pet health.
Mr. Paul Stitt, while addressing a scientific conference in North
Dakota reported that the Omega’s increased bone strength as
well as improved the silkiness and sheen of animals fur. When the
diets of horses were fortified with Omega’s, within three
weeks their coats developed a beautiful sheen, and dandruff was
greatly diminished. Within 9 months cracked hooves were completely
healed. When a pregnant mare was fed the Omega’s, her offspring
were larger, and grew faster than when previous to being fed the
supplement.
Further research indicates that horses fed Omega supplementation
and injected with the deadly organism Escherichia coli were better
protected than those not supplemented, suggesting enhanced immunity
in these animals. Select Alaskan sled dog mushers are fortifying
their dogs diets with Omega oils as they feel it serves as a source
of valuable energy, keeps less desirable saturated fats mobile in
the blood stream, increases oxygen uptake to the cell, decreases
recovery time from strenuous exercise, and prevents and heals worn
and chaffed paws. Numerous studies conducted on animals and humans
show that the Omega cluster has powerful anti-tumor properties and
may reduce tumor size by 50%. Medi-Paws™ has the exacting proportions
of the omega's and is truly a Natural Remedy for Pets.
